About Our Family

Who We Are

We’re the Grace family – Tracy, Ken, and our daughter, Edie. We’re a close-knit, responsible family with a genuine love for animals and a passion for exploring new places while creating a stable, loving home environment wherever we go.

As remote workers with flexible schedules, we discovered that house and pet sitting creates the perfect opportunity for pet sitting. We combine our love of travel with our desire to provide our daughter with diverse experiences while maintaining the stability of a home environment. Since 2008, we’ve cared for over 100 pets in 63 homes across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.

Our Approach to Pet Sitting

We believe that pets thrive on routine, attention, and love – three things our family excels at providing. With multiple family members involved in each sit, your pets receive constant companionship and care. Our daughter has grown up understanding how to respectfully interact with animals of all temperaments, while we adults bring years of practical experience in pet care, home maintenance, and problem-solving.

We approach each house sit with a simple philosophy: treat your home and pets with the same care, respect, and attention we would want someone to show ours. This means following your routines precisely, maintaining clear communication throughout your time away, and ensuring your return to a clean home and happy pets.

Our Experience and Skills

Ken brings a background in home maintenance while Tracy excels at garden care and organization, and animal behaviour. Together, we handle everything from daily pet care to home maintenance with confidence and care.

Our daughter has developed remarkable patience and empathy through our pet sitting experiences. She’s particularly skilled at drawing shy cats out of their shells, and providing energetic play for active dogs.
